Good interior design and renovation need not be expensive

Historic Charm in Manila

We recently visited a friend who relocated to Manila and had the pleasure of spending a few days with them at their beautiful two-storied home. The house exudes a historic charm with its cast iron window grills with floral designs in a black-and-white colour scheme. The owner (my friend) loves birds and flowers, and with a large enough backyard and a pool, the home feels more like a resort set amidst the hustle and bustle of Makati, Manila. Here are some of our likes:

And these Chinese furnishing adds a unique personality to a Philippines home. My friend is a native Chinese whose love for art and calligraphy can be seen throughout this historic compound.
